Every harvest is independently tested at an accredited UK laboratory against ISO 3632:2011, the standard for saffron colour, taste, and aroma. The reference values are below.

Three Values, One Standard

ISO 3632:2011 sets a reference value for each of the three properties that define saffron quality. Category I is the highest grade saffron can earn, and every batch we sell meets it.

  • Crocin Colour, measured at 440nm 200 + ISO Category I reference
  • Picrocrocin Taste, measured at 257nm 70 + ISO Category I reference
  • Safranal Aroma, measured at 330nm 20 to 50 ISO acceptable range

Every Pack Carries a QR

Every batch is independently tested before it is packed, and its laboratory certificate is sealed to a unique QR code printed on the pack. Open your camera, point at the code, and the report for that exact batch opens in full. The proof, attached to the product, not buried on a website.

No middlemen, no anonymous mills, no “origin unknown” with nothing behind it. A fresh certificate and a fresh code for every harvest. The QR shown here is an example; tap it to see the kind of report a real pack reveals.

“If you can’t measure it, we won’t claim it.”
